Everyone needs friends. Learn to view yourself as a good friend that people like and want to share with. When you are pursuing friendships, who is in your jury box? Who is your unconscious audience that is discouraging or encouraging you? Is theresomeone from your childhood who really enjoyed seeing you? Focus on that memory. Often group therapy is the most effective in helping people feel more confident in making friends.
